Johan Halfdan has created a new ceramics studio on Jægersborggade, where workshop and shop merge into a single, cohesive creative space. INC Studio has deliberately worked with a limited number of carefully selected design elements which together create a strong visual expression and a clear identity. The logo, logotype, signature line, and photography convey the essence of Johan Halfdan’s personal universe.

In its horizontal orientation, the logo reads as the initials HJ for Halfdan Johan. When rotated vertically, it shifts into a more figurative expression, where the letterforms form a stylized pottery wheel, suggesting the silhouette of hands and arms in motion.

The logo unites typography and craftsmanship in a single, recognizable visual expression. The ambition was to create a logo that is modern and restrained in form, while simultaneously referencing a Japanese-inspired aesthetic.
